Interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Klinische Hämotherapie (IAKH) www.IAKH.de
Im Februar 2002 wurde die Interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Klinische Hämotherapie gegründet. Sie dient gemäß ihrer Satzung der Förderung der klinischen Hämotherapie durch Optimierung der Kooperation und Kommunikation zwischen den Vertretern der beteiligten Fachdisziplinen. Im Einzelnen bestehen ihre Aufgaben in:
1. Förderung von Fort-, Weiter- und Ausbildung in der klinischen Hämotherapie.
2. Mitwirkung an der Entwicklung des Transfusionsmedizinischen Qualitätsmanagements.
3. Fachliche Beratung von Transfusionsverantwortlichen und -beauftragten.
4. Fortbildungsseminare für Transfusionsverantwortliche und -beauftragte.
5. Beratung und Mitwirkung bei der Erstellung von Richtlinien und Leitlinien für die Anwendung von Blutprodukten.
6. Zusammenarbeit mit einschlägigen Gesellschaften.
Als Mitglieder werden vor allem Transfusionsverantwortliche und -beauftragte geworben, die unmittelbar klinische Hämotherapie betreiben Für deren Interessen möchte sich die Arbeitsgemeinschaft auch vorrangig engagieren.

The Surviving Sepsis Campaign
The Surviving Sepsis Campaign is an International initiative spearheaded by the ESICM (European Society of Critical Care medicine), the ISF (International Sepsis Forum) and the SCCM (Society of Critical Care Medicine). These three societies, joining together for the first time, aim to reduce mortality rates associated with sepsis by 25% in 5 years by urging governments, healthcare agencies, and healthcare professionals to recognise the growing burden of sepsis and to commit to providing adequate resources to combat it.
The campaign was launched at the ESICM annual congress on October 2nd when ICU physicians from around the world endorsed the 'Barcelona Declaration', a call to action outlining a 5 point plan addressing the issues associated with the diagnosis, referral, treatment and management of sepsis patients. As a result of this, Standards of Care are now being developed which, when published will help physicians to manage sepsis patients in the most efficient way possible.
We would like to invite your Society to join the campaign and 'endorse' the Barcelona Declaration.
